Sneinton/St Nic's Partnership – Empowering Church Growth in Nottingham
About the Role
Our Partnership between St Stephen’s Sneinton, St Christopher’s Sneinton, and St Nic’s Nottingham has been formed in response to a shared missional opportunity: to see sustained growth in discipleship, church life, and community impact across Sneinton.
We are looking to recruit a Mission and Discipleship Enabler who will serve as a catalytic leader, helping to turn this shared vision into reality across the Partnership. The post holder will work collaboratively to strengthen a unified culture of discipleship, develop clear and accessible pathways, and equip others to disciple and lead. They will build on existing relationships and missional activity while creating new opportunities for people to encounter Jesus and grow in faith.
Key responsibilities
Identify and develop missional opportunities across Sneinton, building on existing initiatives
Lead the development of clear and accessible discipleship pathways
Build intentional, relationship-based ministry to support people exploring faith and growing in Christ
Equip, mentor, and release volunteers and emerging leaders into discipleship and mission
Uphold strong safeguarding practices and contribute to a safe, healthy church culture
Work collaboratively as part of the Partnership leadership team, contributing to shared vision, prayer, and planning
What we’re looking for
A committed Christian with a deep passion for making disciples and clear sense of missional calling
A catalytic leader who can inspire, equip, and release others while working collaboratively
Strong relational and communication skills, with the ability to connect across cultures and contexts
Experience in developing others in discipleship and leadership
Emotionally mature, compassionate, and resilient, with high integrity
Experience of (or commitment to) safeguarding best practice in ministry settings
What you’ll get:
£32,422 salary per annum + pension
25 days holiday + bank holidays
Access to experienced support staff and a collaborative leadership culture
The chance to participate in the revitalisation of Sneinton
This is a full-time, fixed term opportunity until 31 December 2030. It is enabled by generous funding from the national Church.
There is a genuine occupational requirement for the post holder to be a committed Christian in the Anglican tradition or another member denomination of Churches Together in England or a member of the Evangelical Alliance. The successful applicant will be subject to Disclosure and Barring Service and Right to Work checks.

About Us
Soak - See - Scatter - Serve
St Stephen’s is located in Sneinton just a short walking distance from the city centre. We celebrate a growing anglo-catholic congregation alongside a contemporary intercultural worshipping community. As a church we would like to see a Soaking of the Spirit amongst one another through prayer and worship. We also want to be attentive to Seeing where God is at work among our community and follow His vision for Sneinton. As such we believe in the Scattering or proclamation of the good news of Christ amongst those we love or come into contact with in order to bless and build relationships with those around us. Finally, we wish to Serve. We have a desire to serve God and to serve the people of Sneinton so that many may know Jesus and be impacted by His love.
You are very welcome to join us at any of our services - we would love to see you! We regularly meet on Thursdays and Sundays at 9:30am when the services follow a more traditional pattern. At 11am on Sundays we meet with a more contemporary style of worship
There are a whole range of activities each week - for example if you’d like to find out more about our Children’s work click on ‘Children’ above where you can see our weekly activities. Here’s a little taster from our 2025 Summer Holiday Club!
Ensuring that children, young people and vulnerable adults are kept safe whilst in our care is an integral part of our church life.
